A fresh view of Pathway To Hope’s guiding beliefs
and programming was recently made available for those who are dealing with or supporting someone with mental illness. This
view came in the form of a new brochure called Mental Illness…what happens now? “The brochure is easy to read and educational, with a
lot of valuable information. It offers great insights into ways that Pathway To Hope can help individuals and families in
need.
I’m anxious to get this resource into the hands of those people that can use our help,”

New Look at Survivors Group Now Available!
What’s a Survivor? What does the Survivors Group do?
How can the group help someone dealing with the
uncertainties of life with a mental illness?
The new brochure “Survivors Group …into a brighter future” offers a concise insight
into the approaches taken and results often achieved through active participation in the community of support offered through
the Pathway To Hope Survivors Group. The group, brought together by common struggles and unique perspectives into the issues
surrounding mental illness, offers life, energy and fresh ideas to anyone that has an interest in participating.

Put a spring in your step…Walkway to Hope is Nearly Here! Are you ready? Would you like to make a real difference in the lives of individuals
and families facing the challenges of mental illness? It’s almost time to head to the starting line. The 2nd
Annual Walkway to Hope fundraiser to support Pathway To Hope is less than 30 days away and it’s looking like
a great event.
Sponsored and run by the Pathway Survivors Group, the Walkway will offer
great fellowship, great fun, great exercise…and all for a great, great cause! Get loose, get hydrated and get your
friends to join you on September 25th in Antioch Park.
We’ll gather at Shelter No. 1 by
the south Antioch entrance (across from the basketball courts) early enough to get registered and begin the
walk around 3:30 pm. So fill up a sheet or two with sponsors and walk to support the cause of serving those with mental
illness. Just hit this links below for all of the details, a printable flier and a sponsor sheet that’s ready to record
the pledges of all of your closest friends and relatives.
Our Volunteer Appreciation Picnic will begin at

Quick Meals for Busy People has a new name ... Good for You @ Noon pending new Fall dates Each class features inexpensive, simple, tasty, quick, but still healthy recipes with demonstrations, as well as
time for you to prepare part of the meal and samples to taste. Noon to 1:00 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of every month Location: Johnson County Extension Office, Room 1060, 11811 S. Sunset Dr., Olathe Scholarships are available to cover the full cost of this class for Pathway
to Hope Survivors. Call
to register at least 24 hours in advance. Call Joan at 913.715.7017. State you learned about the class through Pathway
to Hope and there will be no charge. Program
funded by K-State Extension Office.
