Pathway To Hope’s Executive Director, Kiersten Adkins will be present to offer an hour long workshop to the SDMI Convention, Thursday, June 22nd, “Mental Illness: Handling Fear…Faithfully Equipping Ourselves.” The workshop serves as an entry point to effectively minister to those who are ill, their families, and our communities.
Beyond the workshop, PTH Founders Dick & Sharon Lawrenz and #ShareTheHope Coloring Book artist, Michele Hayden will join Kiersten to interact with Assembly attendees at Booth 203 in the Exhibit Hall. The booth will be set up daily as a coloring event and attendees can donate to receive a #ShareTheHope Coloring Book and/or #StompOnStigma t-shirt. We are also making consultation time available to Church leadership to discuss how to improve the dialogue in the Church and community around supporting those who live with mental illness and their families.
In order to continue to serve a national audience and better serve our local community, Pathway To Hope is pleased to be launching our newest programs. The 3 Day E3 Live Intensive™ will include the same basic information as our 8 week course, though geared more towards non-mental health professionals, ministers and caregivers. And, our E3 Affiliate Program™, allowing qualified individuals to take the E3: Encourage•Empower•Educate™ Course to their community while we support them through out the process!
This growth could not be possible without the dedication of our faithful financial supporters and faithful volunteers. Our commitment is to remain focused on providing more resources to the community and easier access to support for individuals and families facing mental illness – Because no one should face mental illness alone!
